The ‘Mean Little Cow’ book is aimed at 8 to 11 year old children and has been illustrated by my daughter, who didn’t believe she was good enough at drawing to illustrate a book (aged 12 at the time, now 13.) It also has a letter from ‘Your Best Friend’s voice’ written by my youngest, who is a natural born nurturer (aged 12 now). The book is centred on the theme of managing that inner critic voice we all develop, in order to improve their emotional resilience and self esteem. You will be well aware of the increase of issues relating to mental wellbeing and resilience in young people and I see this book as a resource for parents, educators and children to build awareness and open up discussion as part of a wider agenda.
