ORGANISER LIAM HANLON FROM TRI-4-LIFE FOUNDATION.

On the 19th July 2020 almost 200 swimmers braved the cold waters of the Mersey to raise money for charity and to remember a very special human being.

We lost a very special friend to Coronavirus.

Rob was a resident at New Start for nearly twenty years, who became a close Family Friend.

Over the years Rob gave his time unconditionally to our family charitable causes.

I remember Rob, always there to greet you with a smile, his laugh was infectious and his smile could light up the hardest of hearts, always like a true gentleman he would greet you with an open heart, a greeting you would never forget.

Rob was a much loved resident, but more than that Rob was everybody’s friend.

Rob was a kind and generous person and had great qualities who shared our family values, Loyal, Kind, and Loving,
Rob became an active member of many organisation as well as Liverpool Heartbeat Charity, he was involved with, to name a few, Liverpool Heartbeat, Performance Studios, Tri-4-Life, Ultimate Force and Elektric Apple Thearte Company and the British Heart Foundation.

Which ever organisation Rob was involved with, he became a valued and active member, volunteering, fundraising and much more making sure everything was going to plan.

Rob loved getting dressed every year as Santa, the one that stands out in my memory was in 2008, Liverpool Heartbeat and Performance Studios got permission to go on to the oncology ward in Alder Hey Hospital giving out presents and singing to all the young children, the evening was filmed and went out on national television as Christmas Day with Coleen. Rob also played Santa for all the orphans in Liverpool organised by Liverpool City Police at the Devonshire House Hotel.

Rob was a true Santa bringing happiness and smiles to everybody’s faces young and old.

Rob wrote to Buckingham Palace to HRH Queen Elizabeth 2nd this action resulted in myself being awarded the MBE for services to the community. Rob came as a guest to Buckingham Palace and shared the memories of this great honour.

Rob also joined the tri-4-life team in 2012 at Westminster having a tour of the Houses of Parliament and met many dignitaries. Later the same day we had a cycling tour of the Olympics complex prior to the opening, some of the team met Lord Coe.

The last seven years Rob has been a prominent member of Elektric Apple, helping out twice a week.

Always in our hearts Rob, you will never be forgotten, may your soul rest in peace and know, you were a special man.

One of a kind.

God Bless forever missed.

We lost a very special friend to Coronavirus Rob Harrison RIP.

Rob was a resident at New Start who became a close family friend.

The last 15 years he gave his time unconditionally to our family charitable causes.

I remember Rob, always greeting you with a smile.

Rob had his health issues, but he always bounced back with his positive energy.

Rob didn’t have a family but embraced ours, especially my Dad Robin like his own.

Robs laugh was infectious, and his smile could light up the hardest of hearts, always a true gentleman.

Rob would greet you with an open heart, a greeting you would never forget.

Rob was a much loved resident, but more than that he was everybody’s friend.

Rob was a kind and generous person with great qualities. Rob shared our family values, Loyal, Kind, and Loving.
